For Trade Winds participants, please note the following tips regarding visa requirements:
- For US citizens traveling from the United States: A visa is required before entering Turkey. For this event we recommend you travel on a tourist visa. You have two options - applying in advance to one of the Turkish Consulates or at point of entry in Turkey. The cost of getting one at point of entry is now $20, but we recommend you carry about $100 US dollars in cash as the fee can fluctuate. Since there is ample time to process the visa we suggest you obtain your visa in advance. If you have questions, your travel agent can assist with this process. - For those traveling on a passport from another country: We suggest that you go on-line to check entry requirements for Turkey. Please make sure to clarify requirements and procedures before traveling.

Travelers to Turkey are advised to take health and safety precautions prior to traveling there. It’s a good idea to consult your health care provider regarding vaccinations prior to travel.
